HOW I MADE IT?

I kept this bowl very simple. Most of the ingredients only needed boiling, steaming or slicing. Then I arranged everything around the red rice and finished it with my creamy Greek yogurt dressing.

01 – RED RICE & EGG

Simple, hearty and easy to prepare.

I cooked the red rice until tender and boiled the egg until fully set. Once the egg had cooled, I peeled it and cut it in half. The red rice makes a hearty base for the bowl, while the egg adds extra protein and richness.

02 – TUNA & COLOURFUL VEGETABLES

Fresh, colourful and full of different textures.

I drained the canned tuna in salt water, then prepared the vegetables. I steamed the corn, carrot and edamame, while keeping the cucumber and cherry tomatoes fresh. I arranged everything around the red rice, keeping the ingredients separate so I could enjoy the different colors, flavors and textures in every bite.

03 – GREEK YOGURT DRESSING

Creamy, simple and slightly sweet.

For the dressing, I mixed Greek yogurt with black pepper, a little salt and just a touch of honey. I served it on the side so I could add as much or as little as I wanted.

WHY I LOVE THIS KIND OF MEAL

Simple food that leaves me satisfied.

I enjoy bowls like this because I get so many different colors, textures and flavors in one meal. The red rice gives it a hearty base, while the tuna and egg add protein, and all those colorful vegetables make the bowl feel fresh and satisfying.

I don’t believe eating well needs to be complicated or restrictive. Sometimes it really can be as simple as opening a can of tuna, preparing a few vegetables and putting everything together. The Greek yogurt dressing adds a creamy finish without making the bowl feel heavy.

This is also the kind of food I genuinely enjoy eating at home. It isn’t something I prepared just to look good in a photograph. It’s everyday food – colorful, filling, satisfying and made with simple whole-food ingredients.

A LITTLE REMINDER

Eating well can start with what you already have.

You don’t need a long list of special ingredients. A can of tuna, some rice, an egg and whatever vegetables you have at home can become a colourful, satisfying meal. Keep it simple, make it your own, and enjoy what you eat.
